Isn't it funny how so many of Obama's picks for various posts are having to disclose (and pay) errors in how they did their taxes? I find it funny in two ways. First, it's indicative of how hard it is to find someone honest in the upper echelons of politics, and second it's indicative of how complicated the tax code is. Still, you'd think these people could hire a tax accountant and get this shit right. Perhaps aspiring politicians will take this to heart and start playing by the book, lest someone find out when they're running for an important office and sink their bid.
I wonder how many people 'forget' or 'misunderstand' the rules in order to keep more money in their pockets. Perhaps our politicians represent their constituents better than I thought.
